Hello Bub is dedicated to the mums-to-be who are in difficult situations or unplanned pregnancy. This is a safe place, where you will find encouragement. I remember all too well the distress of being pregnant with a child that was deemed less than perfect, in a pregnancy where my health was also somewhat endangered. I desperately needed someone to tell me to keep going, to have faith, that it would be worth it. Thankfully I did have people around me to support me, but not all women do.
At the time of my first pregnancy, I turned to the internet to find out more about other women that had faced the same/similar circumstances, and found that it made all the difference to know others had been there. The stories here are real experiences, which speak louder than anything, and through them it’s possible to see that women have persevered through the difficulties and come out happy on the other side.
Pregnant women should all be given the support and respect that they need as women and mothers. So for you who are looking for love and support wherever you can find it, this is the place.
My name is Ana O’Brien. I am married with four kids. The inspiration for this site is my firstborn, my daughter Sarai who was born at 22 weeks and did not survive the delivery. Since then I’ve been able to see the value of life, however young, and however invaluable it may be deemed by others. That’s why I’d like to encourage those facing difficult pregnancy situations by sharing my experience and giving others the opportunity to do the same. I hope that our stories will make the prospect of birthing a child in a less than ideal situation feel less scary, more joyful and overall just possible!
